Established in 2017, Hack for Good is an annual hackathon event hosted by geekspeak commerce in which teams of software developers, graphic designers, engineers and marketers create software prototypes that address a chosen cause. With themes ranging from healthcare to environmental responsibility, the event has seen some incredible social innovation over the years. Hack for Good also provides a platform for people to come together to solve problems bigger than themselves or their own communities and allows participants to challenge themselves, network, collaborate, learn and have fun.

Simcoe Hall Settlement House supports the Durham Region through their food bank, after-school support and seniors programs, all designed to provide wellness opportunities to families and individuals in need. geekspeak commerce actively volunteers with the Settlement House and leads fundraising efforts throughout the year to help support the organization.

Canada Learning Code is an organization that makes computer science and technology accessible to anyone. With their Code Mobile, the team travels across Canada to deliver programs and workshops that empower communities by teaching valuable digital skills. geekspeak commerce has hosted both Ladies Learning Code and Kids Learning Code workshops in our office.
