Honeywell International is a U.S. based multinational company employing 130,000 workers in 70 countries around the globe. An industry leader in a wide variety of commercial and consumer products, Honeywell foregrounds innovative technologies that are designed to make the world safer, more productive, and more sustainable.

Background

Honeywell Safety Products (the industrial safety division) is a leading manufacturer of personal protection equipment (PPE) in categories such as work boots, safety glasses, safety gloves, earplugs and earphones. Their trusted brands include Uvex, Stanley, Howard Leight, Oliver, King’s, NEOS, Xtratuf, Servus, Ranger, Puddletons and Muck. Each brand has its own unique style and voice, and its own unique format for presenting product information. Honeywell was seeking to create a unified, consistent presence for all PPE brands on Amazon.com and other leading online retailers, while retaining the unique character of each brand.

Amazon Optimized Content

geekspeak was tasked with creating optimized content for all the Honeywell PPE brands. This began with the creation of brand-specific style guides and category-specific keyword analysis. Once complete, our team created in-depth product descriptions that conformed to the rigid criteria of Amazon’s Product Detail Pages. This included writing benefit-driven paragraphs and feature bullets, shooting and editing multiple images for each product, and creating unique brand pages for each brand. geekspeak also created SEO-enhanced Amazon A+ Pages for products across all Honeywell PPE brands. This optimized content leveraged the modular A+ format to include product-specific headers, value-driven copy, tutorial graphics, recommended industries and product feature highlights complete with close-up imagery and detailed bullets.

Amazon Expertise

Amazon traffic and sales continue to grow exponentially with new features and opportunities becoming available to retailers almost every month. But that success also brings a flurry of new formats and procedures, along with increasingly complex guidelines. Uploading product content correctly, and in a timely manner, can be a major challenge. geekspeak undertook this initiative for Honeywell by growing relationships and building a knowledge base with Amazon's Vendor Central and Seller Central tech teams.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

The success of geekspeak's content creation, optimizing and uploading was instrumental in our being tasked with the Amazon Ads for the same PPE brands. We leveraged this knowledge, along with our keyword research, to create SEM campaigns that include both Headline Search Ads and Sponsored Ads. Our work for each brand includes monthly reporting with a detailed breakdown of campaign metrics and recommendations.
